Muntajat Showcases its Growing portfolio at the Region’s Leading Downstream Event

Muntajat strengthen Qatar’s position at the 2016 GPCA Annual Forum

Doha, Qatar – xx December 2016:

Muntajat (Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company Q.J.S.C.) showcased its growing portfolio of high-quality chemical and petrochemical products at he Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Annual Forum.

During the three-day event that ran from the 27th to the 29th of November in Dubai, UAE, the Muntajat delegation met with current and potential customers and stakeholders to talk about the new trends and challenges of the petrochemical industry. The 11th edition of the GPCA Annual brought together more than 2,000 industry professionals to discuss “Competitiveness, riding new waves”.

The Muntajat delegation, led by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla, joined industry peers in the region’s most important chemical and petrochemical conversation that tackled innovative strategies for success and long term sustainability of the chemical industry.

Speaking about Muntajat’s participation in the GPCA Annual Forum, Mr. Al-Abdulla said: “We are delighted to participate in the region’s biggest petrochemical gathering. Our yearly participation in the GPCA Annual event underlines our commitment towards becoming the world’s leader in the marketing and distribution of chemicals, polymers and fertilisers.”

“This year’s forum tackled important challenges that our industry is facing;   during the event we held important discussions with our peers on best practices and strategies needed  to maintain a competitive edge on the global scene.” Added Al-Abdulla.

Qatar’s representatives welcomed customers and industry peers as they visited the Qatar pavilion to learn more about Qatar’s chemical and petrochemical sector.

Muntajat’s portfolio includes a truly diversified offering of chemicals, polymers and fertilisers. Muntajat’s fertiliser products includes different grades of Ammonia and Urea, and Melamine. Muntajat’s portfolio also includes a range of chemical products including Hexene, Methanol, Methyl Tertiary-Butyl Ether (MTBE), Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB), Caustic Soda (CSS), Ethylene Dichloride (EDC), Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), Hydrochloric Acid, Normal Alpha Olefins (NAO), Pyrolysis Gasoline (PYGAS), Sulphuric Acid, and Ethylene 

Muntajat also markets the full range of of polyethylene products including Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE), and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) sold under Lotrène ® brand.

As an active member of GPCA, Muntajat regularly partakes in the associations’ events and activities and serves on the GPCA Committees for Fertilisers, Polymers, Supply Chain and Trade.  Most recently Muntajat hosted a GPCA SQAS Workshop in Qatar as part of GPCA’s program to promote Responsible Care in the region. Muntajat is also a main partner of the association’s flagship campaign, the Waste Free Environment Day in Qatar, and the company’s international marketing representatives in UAE, India and Netherlands recently took part in the environmental campaign by organising their own clean up activities.
